Good or Bad
By Pastor Pat Giraldin | May 23, 2018
When did not doing something bad become a good thing? Don’t get me wrong, not doing a bad thing is commendable, but it is not a good thing in and of itself: it is just not doing bad.
There is a simple fact that is necessary to do good: doing good. Nothing else is required or can be a substitute for good, period.
“Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable — if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy — dwell on these things. Do what you have learned and received and heard from me, and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:8-9 CSB
What if we all focused more on doing good instead of just less bad? It would simply mean that we could live in a world that was full of more good and not just less bad! Get it?!
