Waiting stinks. I won’t speak for you, but most people I talk to say that they don’t like to wait. But it seems we have to wait everywhere, right. From waiting on traffic, to waiting on food, we wait in lines to buy things, we wait all the time. And with technology, what used to take minutes, now takes seconds...and we still feel like we are waiting.
Depending on what we are waiting for, some waiting is worth it. Like a meal that takes time to prepare and cook. Or waiting in line to take your son or daughter to see Santa. Some things are worth the wait, agreed? What makes something worth waiting for, and others not?
“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3
When it comes to waiting, it’s all about perspective: it is not about what you are waiting for, but simply how you look at it. So wait on God’s promises, and then while you are waiting for something else, you may just see things a little differently...Get it?!
